Community Outreach

Team Eagle spends a considerable amount of time on and off the water to improving the welfare of our communities. Whether it's senior citizens, disabled individuals, or youth groups, Team Eagle sails to inspire. Past activities include:

  • Increased awareness for sailors with disabilities at the Newport International Boat Show and conducted seminars to promote adaptive and Paralympic sailing.
  • Inspire and mentor newly injured patients at local area rehabilitation centers.
  • Talk with local community clubs (i.e. Rotary Club) about our campaign to increase awareness for disabled individuals.
  • Adaptive sailing demonstrations for both groups and individuals.
  • Advocacy at the state level to raise awareness and increase funding for activities that increase the quality of life.
